Portora Upright Elephant Ear is a large bulb perennial with massive textured foliage on thick darker stems.  These ripple-edged rich green leaves with prominent veining can reach as long as 4-5ft. The greenish-white spathe and spadix bloom intermittently throughout the year.  Grows best in part sun with rich, moist to wet well-drained acidic soils.  Treat as an annual when grown outside of its zones.
