Description
Monrovia® Redemption Elephant Ear is a dramatic tuberous perennial grown for its stunning large arrow-shaped dark foliage on matching dark stems. These glossed, ruffled, leaves emerge green and quickly turn to near-black purple and earn a neon pink blotch that spreads along the veins from the center. Its canna-lily like summer flowers are infrequent and often hidden in the foliage when they do bloom. The best color occurs with filtered light and rich, moist to marginal soils. If grown in area that experiences frost, bring inside to overwinter or treat as an annual.
