Frosty Fire Dianthus is a compact mat-forming herbaceous perennial with dark blue green foliage and hairy stems. Fragrant and frilly soft red double flowers with white highlights bloom first in late spring into summer, and again in fall if deadheaded.  Blooms best in full sun and slightly alkaline, moist, and well-drained soil.
