  • Description

Saijo Persimmon is a fruiting tree with an upright habit known for its oblong astringent fruits in mid fall that are sweet and richly flavored once ripe. The foliage turns a mix of yellow, orange, and red in fall.  Grows best with full sun and moist well-drained soils. Saijo is self-fertile with excellent pest resistance, and ready to eat once soft like a water balloon.
