  • Description

Beer's Black Fig is a compact fruit producing tree with an upright habit prized for its edible fruits that are produced twice a year.  The sweet-smelling fruits are produced in spring and summer and ripen to a deep purple with rich red-pink flesh that has a rich buttery smoothness. Highly adaptable, but provides the best fruit in full sun and well-drained soils.  Beer's Black is resistant foliar diseases and has a closed eye that resists splitting and souring.

Syn. with ‘Violette de Bordeaux'.
