  • Description

Swamp Sunflower is a salt-tolerant late-blooming perennial and doesn’t spread aggressively like other sunflower selections.  The showy yellow flowers that resemble large daises bloom in fall and continue until frost.  Best bloom in full sun in acidic and moist to wet well-drained soils.

Helianthus angustifolius acts as a host for several butterflies, including the Silvery Checkerspot Butterfly.  It attracts various butterflies and caterpillars which in turn provide food for birds.
