Juniperus chinensis 'Blue Point' ~ Blue Point Juniper

The Blue Point Juniper is known for its dense, pyramidal growth habit and its striking blue-green foliage. It typically reaches a height of 10 to 15 feet (3 to 4.5 meters) with a spread of 6 to 8 feet (1.8 to 2.4 meters), making it suitable for hedges, screens, or as a standalone specimen plant.

This juniper variety has scale-like leaves that are arranged in overlapping layers, giving it a unique texture. The foliage has a blue-green color that adds visual interest to the landscape. It is an evergreen plant, meaning it retains its foliage year-round.

The Blue Point Juniper is known for its tolerance to a variety of growing conditions. It can thrive in full sun to partial shade and is adaptable to different soil types, including sandy or clay soils. It is also relatively drought-tolerant once established.

In terms of care, the Blue Point Juniper is relatively low-maintenance. It requires minimal pruning, usually to maintain its shape or remove any dead or damaged branches. It is generally a hardy and resilient plant.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low Maintenance.  Junipers are generally susceptible to blights, especially in unusually wet weather.
