  • Description

The Weeping Yoshino Cherry is a small to medium-sized deciduous tree with a weeping or pendulous growth habit. It typically reaches a height of 15-25 feet (4.5-7.5 meters) and has a similar spread. The branches cascade downward, creating a cascading effect. The tree has a rounded crown and a delicate, lacy appearance.

One of the most captivating features of the Weeping Yoshino Cherry is its profusion of white or pale pink flowers in early spring. The blossoms are small and appear in clusters, covering the tree in a beautiful display. These flowers are a favorite of bees and other pollinators.

The leaves of the Weeping Yoshino Cherry are oval-shaped and have a serrated edge. They emerge as a bronze or copper color in spring, turn green during the summer, and may develop yellow or bronze hues in the fall before dropping.
