Sabal Palm is a slow-growing native evergreen shrub with a partial subterranean trunk and huge, deeply divided palmate foliage that resembles a fan.  Creamy compound panicles bloom in summer and are followed by black drupes.  Grows best with part sun and rich, evenly moist well-drained soils.  Drought tolerant once established, salt tolerant, and ignored by deer.
