Muehlenbeckia axillaris ~ Creeping Wire Vine

Creeping Wire Vine is an unusual creeping semi-evergreen vine with wiry dark stems and small glossy bright green leaves that form a mat if not given support to climb.  The insignificant flowers are followed by tiny attractive translucent white berries in late summer.  Prefers part sun and moist well-drained soils.  Its small size makes it an excellent container filler.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low maintenance plant.  No serious pests or diseases.  Can tolerate both drought and wet soils.

LANDSCAPE USES: Accents and Group Plantings,  Borders, Rock Gardens, Woodland Gardens, Naturalized Areas, and Containers.
